Why did my domain transfer fail?
A transfer of a domain name can take anywhere from a 5-7 days depending on the length of time for each step in the process. If your domain transfer to Webs did not properly go through, there may be a number of reasons. For most of these reasons, you will have to contact your current registrar directly.
Here’s a list of the most common issues, what they mean and what to do:
NOTE: If there is a complication with your Domain transfer, you’ll see a message explaining why at the top of the Domain Names page in the Premium section of your account. As an alternative you can try DNS hosting instead of transferring your domain.
Domain contact did not respond to verification e-mail
The transfer failed because the domain contact did not respond to verification email.
To ensure you receive the verification email please confirm that the administrative contact email address with your existing domain registrar is valid. Here’s a list of the most commonly-used registrars along with links on how to update registrant information:

- Network Solutions
If you're not receiving the notification you can also make sure it is not going to a spam or junk mail folder.

Invalid EPP/authorization key
The transfer failed because an Invalid EPP/authorization key was provided.
Please contact your current domain registrar to obtain a new EPP/authorization key. Please note that the key can expire after some time once you have requested the key.
Domain is locked at current registrar, or is not yet 60 days old
The transfer failed because the domain is locked at the current registrar.
Please contact your current domain registrar to have the registrar-lock removed from the domain name.
Domain was not retagged or not retagged in time by losing registrar
For CCTLDs (country code, top-level domains) you may need to request that your current registrar set the IPS tag to ENOM, since some CCTLDs do not have EPP codes.
Your current registrar has rejected the transfer
There may be additional, specific reasons that your current registrar is not releasing the domain. you will have to contact them directly in order to have the domain released.
